Pour the sand over your dry pavers and sweep it into every joint with a stiff broom until the joints are filled just below the surface. Sweep away any excess from the paver faces, then mist the entire surface with a garden hose. The water activates the polymer binder and the bonding process begins immediately. Leave it 24 hours to fully cure.

Once the polymer binder fully cures it forms a solid flexible bond that locks every joint permanently. Under normal conditions and correct application it lasts up to 10 years — which is why every bag comes with a 10 year guarantee.

Light rain within the first 3 hours can interfere with the curing process before the polymer has fully bonded. If heavy rain is forecast, wait for a dry window of at least 3 hours before applying. Once it has fully cured, rain has no effect on the bond whatsoever.

It works on concrete, natural stone, brick and porcelain. As long as your joints are between 2mm and 15mm wide the sand fills and bonds to any paver material regardless of shape or pattern.

Unlike rigid cement, our polymeric sand is engineered with "micro-elasticity" to expand and contract with the tile. This prevents the internal pressure that typically causes tiles to pop off the substrate when temperatures drop.

Yes — once fully cured after 24 hours the bond is strong enough to handle pressure washing without washing out of the joints. This is one of the main advantages over regular sand which gets flushed out every time you clean your pavers.

If your existing joints are filled with loose sand or debris it is worth clearing them out first with a stiff brush or blower to give the polymeric sand a clean surface to bond to. If the joints are mostly empty you can apply directly. The better the prep the stronger and longer lasting the bond.

The polymer bond creates an interlock between every paver that spreads the load of a vehicle across the entire surface. This prevents individual pavers from sinking or shifting under the pressure of a tyre — making it suitable for driveways and high traffic areas.
